Welcome to another exciting month at Vishwanath Academy! As we continue to foster both the academic and personal growth of our students, we also deeply value the strong, supportive network of parents and professionals that make up our school community.
Below, you will find important updates regarding student health and wellness, alongside our monthly “Parent Professional Spotlight” aimed at supporting the diverse businesses within our community.
Important Health Update: Government Vaccination Camp
The health, safety, and well-being of our students remain our absolute highest priority. We have been informed by the local government health department that they will be organising a dedicated vaccination camp on our school premises this week.
This camp specifically targets the prevention of Diphtheria, a highly contagious bacterial infection. We strongly encourage all eligible students to participate in this preventive health measure.
Camp Details:
-
Target Group: Children between the ages of 5 and 16 years.
-
Vaccination Date: 2.05.25 (Friday)
-
Timing: 8:00 AM onwards
-
Location: Main School Auditorium
Important Instructions for Parents:
-
Consent is Mandatory: Only students whose parents are interested and present will be administered the vaccine.
-
Preparation: Please ensure your child has had a healthy, hearty breakfast before arriving at the camp.
-
Observation: Medical staff will be on-site to monitor the children for 30 minutes post-vaccination to ensure there are no immediate adverse reactions.
If you have any specific medical questions regarding your child’s allergy history or current medications, please consult with your family pediatrician prior to Friday.
Parent Professional Spotlight: Hospitality & B2B Growth
At Vishwanath Academy, we know that our parents are leaders, entrepreneurs, and innovators in the local community. Each month, we share insights to help our parent-led businesses thrive.
Recently, several parents in the local hospitality and tourism sector have asked for strategies on expanding their B2B (Business-to-Business) operations. If you manage a property and are wondering how to sell hotel rooms to corporates, here is a brief guide to securing lucrative corporate contracts:
1. Understand What Corporate Clients Actually Want
Corporate travel managers are not looking for the same things as holidaymakers. They prioritize convenience, reliability, and productivity. To win their business, ensure your property highlights:
-
High-speed, complimentary Wi-Fi.
-
In-room workspaces and accessible power outlets.
-
Flexible cancellation policies, as corporate schedules change rapidly.
-
On-site amenities like 24/7 fitness centers, express dry cleaning, and early-morning breakfast options.
2. Build Tailored Corporate Packages
Don’t just offer a discounted room rate. Create comprehensive packages that make the travel manager’s job easier. Offer “negotiated rates” (a fixed, discounted rate for a guaranteed number of room nights per year) and include perks like free meeting room access for an hour, complimentary airport transfers, or priority check-in.
3. Leverage LinkedIn and Local Networking
The decision-makers you need to reach are Travel Managers, Procurement Officers, and HR Directors. Use LinkedIn to connect with these professionals at mid-to-large-sized companies in your area. Additionally, joining the local Chamber of Commerce or attending industry trade shows puts you face-to-face with companies that regularly host visiting executives or client conferences.
4. Focus on Post-Stay Relationships
Winning a corporate contract is only half the battle; keeping it is where the real revenue lies. Follow up with corporate guests after their stay. A simple personalized email asking for feedback can build immense loyalty.
If you are a parent with a business topic you would like featured in next month’s community newsletter, please reach out to the school administrative office!
Thank you for your continued partnership in making Vishwanath Academy a thriving environment for our children and our community.
Warm Regards,
The Administration Team Vishwanath Academy
